I have been teaching for 13 years. I received my reading endorsement 11years ago because I understand how critical reading is. I'm a highly qualified Reading Specialist and have spent six years teaching reading skills to struggling readers. I'm able to assess students and determine what skills they are lacking. Then I plan specific reading strategies that target the necessary reading skills. I have extensive training on several different research based reading programs. I currently tutor a first grader who has made one years growth with within a short amount of time. My teaching experience also includes 2nd, 3rd 4th grades.
