I love mathematics. Even though I was a physics major at Northern Arizona University, I spent a great deal of time with math students while taking undergrad courses and enjoy the subject thoroughly. I even joined the math club while in university and to this day I would rather read up on mathematical topics than pick up the latest physics book. I should admit, however, that physics is what started my love affair with math and this is something that I try to instill in the students that I tutor.I have been teaching calculus for the past two years and is has been an extremely rewarding experience for me. I also tutor in subjects like algebra, trigonometry, geometry, and, of course, physics. I try to help my students to enjoy this subject matter as much as I do because I believe that once a student is interested in the subject, better grades will follow.During the last two summers, I have spent time at the University of Arizona, conducting scientific research. This has given me the chance to return to my academic background, which is an opportunity that I have enjoyed. I spend my free time reading comics books and am interested in Native American education.
