I earned my bachelor's degree in accounting from Wright State University. As a tutor, I've help students learn a variety of different subjects, but my favorites are history, math, and accounting. I believe reading skills are critical for students to be successful learners, so I often suggest additional texts to help students learn more from a different perspective on a subject. My methodology as a tutor is to break complex ideas down into their building blocks and explain those to students. Once I feel the student has a good understanding at this level, I build them back up. I also explain why the concepts and subjects we study are important and how they are used in the real world. When I have free time, I enjoy baseball, movies, strategy games, and reading.
